Dr Lewis Elliott is an environmental psychologist interested in applied quantitative social science research to address both public health and environmental crises.
Lewis studied BSc Applied Psychology and MSc Psychological Research Methods at the University of Plymouth before embarking on a PhD in health and well-being at the University of Exeter across ECEHH and the St Luke’s Campus.
After this, he began a postdoctoral position with ECEHH on the BlueHealth project and is now a permanent senior lecturer in environment and human health there.
Lewis’s research primarily concerns the benefits that the natural environment has on human physical health and psychological well-being. He engages with a mixture of quantitative methods to explore this including the analysis of large survey data, experiments, and complex interventions.
